028 – Hot Mess Parents

My wife was at the county with our kids (four of them!) and witnessed a women with her children as well, but overheard a group of moms talking down about what a “hot mess” that woman was.  It struck a cord, a deep cord and she posted on facebook about it.

Vital Point #1:

• Parents, we need to uplift each other instead of breaking us down.  It’s hard enough without the judgement and frankly is childish and wastes time.

Vital Point #2:

• You are sometimes a beautiful mess and that’s okay.
• Kids are demanding and it is okay to cut corners to provide them with their needs.

Vital Point #3:

• Of course you do need to lead by example.  They are watching your every move.
