030 – Always Selling

Salesperson or not, you’re always selling something.  You might be selling values, nutrition, or habits to your kids (and constantly re-selling those to them as well), or you might be selling some after-bedtime activities with the wife.  What matters is that you realize that and find out what you are actually selling.

Vital Point #1:

  • Understand that you want to fulfil a need to your client (or spouse, kids, etc), and that’s what they are actually buying.
  • If you sell jewelry, you’re not actually selling jewelry.

Vital Point #2:

  • Understanding this will help you find out if you’re on purpose or not.
